About the Role:

In light of our recent success, we are looking to expand our team. We seek a highly motivated and skilled Technical Cyber Security Consultant to join our team. This role involves consulting clients on security best practices, performing risk management, conducting threat modeling, and reviewing infrastructures and architectures. A significant portion of the role will focus on Cloud Security as many of our clients rely on at least one public cloud. There will also be opportunities to teach clients' employees various IT security topics, such as general security awareness training or threat modeling training. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT (security) engineering, such as software development, system administration, or network engineering, and professional experience with at least one global cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP). If motivated and up for it, you can evolve and work independently on "CISO as a Service" mandates.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical security reviews of infrastructures, cloud stacks, applications, and networks.
  • Consult clients on security best practices and risk management.
  • Conduct threat modeling workshops on different systems.
  • Provide detailed reports with management summaries, findings, risks, and client recommendations.
  • Teach clients various topics of IT security.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in IT and cybersecurity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT engineering or security engineering.
  • Professional experience in consulting.
  • Cloud Security Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty or Azure Security Engineer are a valuable addition.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English - reading and writing.
  • Proficiency in German is a plus.

Skills:

  • A strong technical background in fields such as software development, system administration, or network engineering.
  • Excellent understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Ability to incorporate the attacker's perspective and think like an adversary.
  • In-depth knowledge about common web vulnerabilities, like the ones listed in OWASP Top 10.
  • Analyze and understand security configurations and designs in modern IT environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to client stakeholders, such as C-Level management and engineers.
